With Oklahoma opening up a can of whoop-ass on Texas Tech and Oklahoma State in consecutive last night the Big 12 standings now look like this.
Oklahoma 11-1 (7-1)
Texas 11-1 (7-1)
Texas Tech 11-1 (6-1)
That leaves with the question of who plays Missouri in the Big 12 Title game?
First, let me state the it should be Texas against Oklahoma in the Big 12 Champioship game. Missouri has no chance against either of these teams. But I digress.
By rule, the BCS standings would determine the winner of the South division. If there were to happen the following logic would have to dictate why the Big 12 BCS spots MUST look like this:
Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech.
Oklahoma beat Texas Tech by a landslide. Texas Tech beat Texas by the slimmest of margins. Both of these wins were at home. More importantly, Texas comfortably beat Oklahoma in a rivalry game on a neutral field. I understand that Oklahoma comfortably beat Oklahoma State on the road last night, but beating Oklahoma on a neutral field is more impressive than beating Oklahoma State on the road.
Logic dictate that the voters would have to give Texas the edge of Oklahoma.
If the sports writers and coaches follow simple logic, Texas should be playing Missouri in the Big 12 title game. Texas should win and go to the national title game against the SEC Champion.

I did not do so well in my selections last week. My bad case of overestimitis and underestimitosis led me to a mediocre 9 – 7, bringing my season record to 111 - 64 – 1, not bad for a bowling league.
My thanksgiving games were brought to you my the singer Meat Loaf. I won’t be sad cause two out of three ain’t bad.
I have awoken from my tryptophan induced coma to bring you this weeks picks. So, here we go:
San Francisco 49ers ( 3 – 8 ) v. Buffalo Bills ( 6 – 5 )
The Bills looked impressive in steamrolling the Chiefs last week. Trent Edwards finally looked like the quarterback he should be. The 49ers are going to cold, frigid, windy Buffalo for a 1pm game. West Coast teams still have yet to win an afternoon game on the East Coast. The streak should continue. Face it, the 49ers just aren’t that good.
MY PICK: Bills
Baltimore Ravens ( 7 – 4 ) v. Cincinnati Bengals ( 1 – 9 )
Does anyone really expect the Bengals to have any success against the Ravens defense. We saw what happened when they played the Steelers last week. The Ravens defense did bad things to the Eagles and they have this ability to wear teams down to create huge 4th quarters. I would expect Joe Flacco to have a big game and Cincy should be finished off quite early.
MY PICK: Ravens
Indianapolis Colts ( 7 – 4 ) v. Cleveland Browns ( 4 – 7 )
Brady Quinn is out for the season. Enter Derek Anderson, a quarterback who has completed more passes to the other team than his own. You can’t win completing less than 50% of your passes, especially against the Colts. Indy squeezed out a close win last week against the Chargers. They have won 4 straight, 3 of which were against the most highly regarded teams in the AFC. The Browns are hurting and the Colts are putting themselves in a good position to make a serious Super Bowl run.
MY PICK: Colts
Carolina Panthers ( 8 – 3 ) v. Green Bay Packers ( 5 – 6 )
Generally, a December game at Lambeau means a guaranteed Packers victory. But this is 2008 and the Packers are not the Packers. They can’t stop the run. Carolina runs the ball very well. They can’t stop the pass. The Panthers can throw the ball too. Ryan Grant does well in cold weather and Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been all that bad, but the Panthers defense is legit. Combine all that with the run of poor defense the Pack has been playing as of late and the other odd home losses at Lambeau this year, it should add up to a Panther victory.
MY PICK: Panthers
Miami Dolphins ( 6 – 5 ) v. St. Louis Rams ( 2 – 9 )
After seeing Miami’s offense hold its own against the Patriots last week I am more than confident they destroy the Rams. The Dolphins have been improving this week while the Rams keep getting worse and worse. They can’t score and they can’t stop anyone. The offensive line is decimated and Bulger will be eating more turf than your neighborhood cow. Expect Reggie Brown & Ricky Williams to have big games. This game should be over real early.
MY PICK: Dolphins
New Orleans Saints ( 6 – 5 ) v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers ( 8 – 3 )
The Saints looked very impressive against the Packers last Monday night. More importantly, Reggie Bush returns from his injury. The Buccaneers are quietly becoming one of the best teams in the NFC. The offense under Garcia’s leadership does not turn the ball over and the defense usually seals the deal. They came back from 17-0 down in the first quarter to defeat the Lions easily. When they need to get the job done, they usually do. This game will hinge on how much of a factor Reggie Bush is.
MY PICK: Buccaneers
New York Giants ( 10 – 1 ) v. Washington Redskins ( 7 – 4 )
It’s funny how after taking a small break Friday night, I wake up to hear that Plaxico Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh and will likely miss the rest of the season. The Giants haven’t missed him in many games this year, but those were against inferior teams. The Redskins are much better than Arizona. They may have lost the first game 17-6, but they did hold the Giants scoreless in the second half. This game is at home but it’s still the Giants. The differences between the Redskins wins and losses are the turnovers. When they don’t turn the ball over, they win, when they do, they lose. Even if the Giants turn it over once or twice, they have the offensive firepower to score quickly. The Redskins do not. They are too deliberate and don’t have the ability to blow teams out like Seattle. I think the Giant defense will cause Campbell to turn the ball over a few times and that will be the difference between a win and a loss.
MY PICK: Giants
Atlanta Falcons ( 7 – 4 ) v. San Diego Chargers ( 4 – 7 )
The Chargersstink. Something is wrong with LaDanian Tomlinson and I don’t thin it’s age. Philip Rivers and the wide receivers can’t seem to get on the same pages and the Chargers don’t pressure the quarterback as much as they used. Their run defense is also suspect. I think Matt Ryan will have a mediocre game, but Michael Turner should rush for over 125 yards. This will be one of the closer games this week, but I don’t trust San Diego, even though they can still win their division.
MY PICK: Falcons
Denver Broncos ( 6 – 5 ) v. New York Jets ( 8 – 3 )
The Broncos and Jets have something in common. They both lost to Oakland. The similarities basically stop there. The Jets are one of the most improved games this season. Kris Jenkins is my new pick for MVP and teams cannot run on the Jets anymore. Didn’t matter anyway, Denver still can’t find a running back that can stay healthy this season. The Jets can run the ball with Leon Washington & Thomas Jones. The Broncos can’t stop the run. The Jets have Brett Favre, the Broncos can’t pressure the quarterback with their diminutive defensive line. The Jets can pressure the quarterback. Expect Cutler and Brandon Marshall to have tough games, especially with Abram Elam and Ty Law being turnover monsters in the secondary. The Jets can win this game by using the run and not having to rely on Brett Favre. They are a much better team, as long as they don’t get complacent and play down to their competition, a typical Jet characteristic.
MY PICK: Jets (my daughter will be happy)
Kansas City Chiefs ( 1 – 10 ) v. Oakland Raiders ( 3 – 8 )
Give the Raiders credit, they beat the hell out of the Broncos. Give the Bills credit, they beat the hell out of the Chiefs. Guess what? I don’t care. I still don’t have faith in the Raiders and I still like the Chiefs. But let’s look at this from a reasonable perspective. The Raider offense has been inconsistent. They did beat the Chiefs when most of the players were playing their second game in the league and Damon Huard was the starter. Tyler Thigpen has done well this season and he wasn’t all that terrible against the Bills. If he can keep the turnovers down they should be able to win. As I said, I’m not fully sold on the Raiders and I think the Chiefs are a better team, if they can avoid the turnover.
MY PICK: Chiefs
Pittsburgh Steelers ( 8 – 3 ) v. New England Patriots ( 7 – 4 )
This should be a good game. While the Patriots have been improving with Matt Cassel under center, he will not throw for 400 yards against the best defense in the league. The Patriots running game is still suspect and the Steelers are not going to give Moss the room he has enjoyed recently. This is also a defense that does not give up yardage in the middle, so don’t be surprised if Wes Welker is held under 75 yards receiving.
MY PICK: Steelers
Chicago Bears ( 6 – 5 ) v. Minnesota Vikings ( 6 – 5 )
This is an odd game for NBC to flex into. Both teams are inconsistent and to be honest, not that good. The Bears defense played really well against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers, which have a far better passing attack than Gus Frerotte and the Vikings. Last time they played it was a 48-41 game with the Bears scoring 14 points on defensive and special teams touchdowns. Don’t forget the other 10 points they score off Gus Frerotte interceptions. The Bears offense has been inconsistent and will have trouble running against the Viking D-line, but the passing attack combined with terrible Viking quarterback play should put the Bears in the division lead.
MY PICK: Bears.
Jacksonville Jaguars ( 4 – 7 ) v. Houston Texans ( 4 – 7 )
This should have been a good Monday night game, but both teams are terrible. If the Jaguars can hold on to the ball they should be able to win. There are three keys to this game. First, can Jacksonville hold on to the ball? Second, can the Jaguars stop Steve Slaton and the running attack? Finally, can they keep Mario Williams off of David Garrard? If they can, then they should win. However, I don’t foreseeit, but with Jacksonville you never know.
MY PICK: Texans

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I hope your turkey is more enjoyable than the games the NFL has selected for you tomorrow. In my 29 years on Earth I have neover been less excited about Thanksgiving football.
Anyway, here are the picks for this year’s edition of Thanksgiving Football:
Tennessee Titans (10 – 1) v. Detroit Lions (0 – 11)
Ironically enough, this is not the first time the Lions will be winless on Thanksgiving. It won’t probably be the last. But i digress. The Titans are pissed after being owned by the Jets last week. The Lion offense looked better as of late but the defense is in shambles. Expect LenDale White and Chris Johnson to have big games. The Titan defense should score. Finally a game where Kerry Collins doesn’t have to win it and you can go back to overrating the Titans, the third best team in the AFC.
MY PICK: Titans
Seattle Seahawks (2 – 9) v. Dallas Cowboys (7 – 4)
While Seattle kept the Redskins close last week, they are facing a more potent offensive on the road. The Cowboys are just plain better. Tony Romo is back, the offense is clicking and is close to getting their rhythm back. They need this game and they know they need to get to 8-4 before they enter the tough stretch of the schedule. Expect a blowout.
MY PICK: Cowboys
Arizona Cardinals (7 – 4) v. Philadelphia Eagles (5 – 5 – 1)
Arizona is the trendy pick and the focus will be on McNabb’s benching. I think we’ve seen that he should be the QB for the season. I think this whole soap opera, combined with a short week is a recipe for disaster for a team that just isn’t that good. Westbrook is still hurting, the receiver can’t run route and Andy Reid’s decision have been more dangerous than his sons. The Cardinals have a potent passing game. Go against a poor pass defense and the pick is easy.
MY PICK: Cardinals
There you go. Try to enjoy the games, they’ll be over soon.

To the Eagles Fans:
You wanted Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb to leave town. You’ve made them more unpopular that the current President. You got tired of seeing the Eagles flounder game after game and loss and tie after loss. You wanted this to be Donovan McNabb’s last season.
Well, you got what you wished for. Kevin Kolb, the former Houston Cougar. McNabb was 8-18 for 59 yards. Kolb was 10-23 for 73 yards with 2 INTs, one of which was returned for a TD because David Akers is a better tackler than Kolb. If I recall, he was ineffective as his fellow NFL alumni (David Klingler & Andre Ware), and they broke NCAA records.
You wanted to see someone other than #5 (whose number will be retired in a few years) behind center. You don’t need that quarterback taking you to four straight NFC Championship games and one Super Bowl. Anyone can throw to those talented receivers. A different quarterback could make Brian Westbrook healthy again.
For the first time in four years, Andy Reid gave you what you wanted. Just remember the old Joni Mitchell song “Don’t it always seem to go that you don’t know what you got til it’s gone, they paved paradise and put up a parking lot.”
If McNabb were a Viking, he’d be a division leader at 8-3 and you’d really be sorry.
Now that you’ve seen a glimpse into the ghost of Eagles future, shut up!!!! You should be satisfied with one championship this year. Everything else is just gravy.
PS: I will officially add Andy Reid on my list of coaches to be fired for benching McNabb and giving you what you want.
Big 12 BCS Breakdown November 23, 2008

With Oklahoma opening up a can of whoop-ass on Texas Tech last night the Big 12 standings look like this with one game left to play.
Oklahoma 10-1 (6-1) v. Oklahoma State
Texas 10-1 (6-1) v. Texas A & M
Texas Tech 10-1 (6-1) v. Baylor
It’s safe to assume that all three teams will win the final game on the regular season. That leaves with the question of who plays Missouri in the Big 12 Title game?
By rule, the BCS standings would determine the winner of the South division. If there were to happen the following logic would have to dictate why the Big 12 BCS spots should look like this:
Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech.
Oklahoma beat Texas Tech by a landslide. Texas Tech beat Texas by the slimmest of margins. Both of these wins were at home. More importantly, Texas comfortably beat Oklahoma in a rivalry game on a neutral field.
This would have to give Texas the edge of Oklahoma. The only way Texas Tech can get into the Big 12 Championship game is if Oklahoma loses to Oklahoma State in Stillwater Saturday.
If the sports writers and coaches follow simple logic, Texas should be playing Missouri in the Big 12 title game. Texas should win and go to the national title game against the SEC Champion.

Last week wasn’t as terrible as I thought it would be. A tie game can really throw a wrinkle in your picks, but the damages was minimal. Last week I went 10 – 5 – 1, bringing the season record to a robust 102 – 57 - 1.
For the first time this season, I picked the Thursday night game correctly and I get to start off the week with a chance for that perfect week.
Let’s get it started, I have company coming for the daughter’s 3rd birthday party and it’s now or never. Family members are tough to ignore, no matter how hard you try.
Carolina Panthers (8 – 2) v. Atlanta Falcons (6 – 4)
This is a tough game to pick. The Panthers have been unimpressive in their wins against inferior Oakland & Detroit. Matt Ryan is a better quarterback at home. I know the Falcons are favored at home against a team that beat them 24-9 earlier in the season. Matt Ryan is steadily improving, but the Panther defense has been a constant all season. It’s their offense I’m worried about. I can’t imagine this team underperforming three weeks in a row. 8-2 teams don’t do that. I like the Panther front seven against Michael Turner and the Falcon offensive line. I think Delhomme finds an answer against the Falcons secondary.
MY PICK: Panthers.
Houston Texans (3 – 7) v. Cleveland Browns (4 – 6)
Brady Quinn is turning out to be a decent quarterback in his first two starts. He has yet to make the critical mistake. The Browns defense is a different story. How do you let Buffalo stay in a game they had no business being in? You can’t intercept a QB 3 times and let the game come down to a missed field goal. Houston is the tough luck team in the NFL. Sage Rosenfelsis killing them. The game is in Cleveland and the weather might play a factor. I think Steve Slaton will have a good game, but I expect the same out of Brady Quinn and the receiving corps.
MY PICK: Browns
San Francisco 49ers (3 – 7) v. Dallas Cowboys (6 – 4)
This is a good game for Tony Romo to get some good practice and to get back into rhythm. He wasn’t totally impressive in their win against the Redskins last week. The 49ers secondary is overpaid and has yet to live up to its expectations. TO would like nothing better than to stick to the team that first drafted him. Frank Gore is not 100 percent, the QB situation is a mess and the Cowboys need the win more. Don’t forget, this is a West Coast team going East for a 1pm game. No team has won in this situation yet and the Cowboys are not divisional rivals, meaning they are just a better team.
MY PICK: Cowboys
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7 – 3) v. Detroit Lions (0 – 10)
The Lions are so bad, the game is being blacked out in Detroit. Why am I even bothering to discuss this game? The Bucs still don’t impress me at 7-3. They did do a nice job running against the Vikings and keeping Adrian Peterson under 100 yards. If they can do bad things to the Viking offense, they should be able to do the same to the Lions offense even though Daunte Culpepper has added a spark to that offense.
MY PICK: Buccaneers
New York Jets (7 – 3) v. Tennessee Titans (10 – 0)
Two weeks ago I did not think this would be a game. While everyone else, including my three year old daughter (a die hard JETS fan, she loves teams with chants), is ready to jump on the Jets bandwagon, I am not. I think this will be a close game. Statistically, the Jets are a better team in all aspects (run & pass defense, run & pass offense), but Brett Favre is the reason the Jets are 7-3 and not 10-0. He is prone to making that critical mistake at the wrong time. He hasn’t done so in a while, which means he’s overdue. This will be a very close game. The Jets will cover the spread. I expect both teams to have difficulty in running the ball forcing the quarterback to win the game. For that reason, I expect Favre to make a huge mistake and the Titans to stay undefeated for at least two more weeks (they play the Lions on Thanksgiving).
MY PICK: Titans
Buffalo Bills (5 – 5) v. Kansas City Chiefs (1 – 9)
This week’s Bills song is Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Losers of 4 straight they have been a mess. The lines can’t move anyone off the ball. Teams have figured out how to play Marshawn Lynch and Lee Evans. The Bills have more turnovers than your local bakery. The Chiefs on the other hand continue to improve. Larry Johnson had a decent game and has accepted his role in the spread offense. Tyler Thigpen continues to impress me in his development. The Bills secondary is hurting, the game is in Kansas City and this matchup bodes well for the Chiefs.
MY PICK: Chiefs
Chicago Bears (5 – 5) v. St. Louis Rams ( 2 – 8 )
Wow, were the Bears unimpressive last week or what? Good thing the Rams really suck. Even better thing that Steven Jackson is hurt. The Bear defense can’t seem to stop anybody as of late. Lovie Smith is close to making my list of coaches that should be fired. While I don’t trust the Bears, keep in mind they are playing the Rams. My only hope is Torry Holt has a good game, he’s overdue and deserving.
MY PICK: Bears.
New England Patriots (6 – 4) v. Miami Dolphins (6 – 4)
The 3rd place Patriots have had 10 days to prepare for the 2nd place Dolphins and their gimmick Wildcat offense. Why teams are starting to adopt some versions of it is beyond me. Anyway, the Patriots are starting to show some vulnerability with their injuries. The Dolphins are hot, winning four straight and five of their last six. I think the Patriots are the better team though. Belichick has done a very good job coaching this team and with extra days to prepare, they have an edge. Don’t expect the Wildcat to get them again.
MY PICK: Patriots
Minnesota Vikings (5 – 5) v. Jacksonville Jaguars (4 – 6)
Conventional wisdom say the Vikings should win this game. The only problem with that thought is the Viking don’t do anything conventionally. The run defense played uninspired against Tampa Bay. The Jaguars have played much better since losing to Cincinnati. Offensive balance has been much better and the defense is starting show signs of life. This is especially important against the inept Vikings passing game. This game is in Florida and the Jaguars are a team that is still over reliant on the run and will look to control the clock. If they keep the Williams on the field for their trademark 14-play, 9-minute drives, the Vikings run defense will wear down in the heat and the Jags will play Jags football. Expect Adrian Peterson to see 7 and 8 men in the box all game. There is no reason to respect Gus Frerotte and the pass game.
MY PICK: Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles (5 – 4 – 1) v. Baltimore Ravens ( 6 – 4)
Now that Donovan McNabb knows that games can end in ties (Sorry, I couldn’t resist the dig), I expect a more inspired effort when the clock gets closer to :00. But let’s be serious, they’re playing the Ravens. The Eagles jsut aren’t that good. The Raven defense should have no problem in doing what I think are the three keys to the game. First, pressure McNabb andforce the quick throw. Second, contain Westbrook. Three, createturnovers. The Eagles can be beaten by the pass and Joe Flacco should be able to do it if the Eagle blitz can be picked up.
MY PICK: Ravens
Oakland Raiders ( 2 – 8 ) v. Denver Broncos (6 – 4)
Denver has looked impressive in the 4thquart comebacks over Cleveland and Atlanta, two decent teams. The Raiders are not a decent team, regardless of Darren McFadden’s return. The Devner running game will still have it’s struggles, but Denver should be able to beat the Oakland secondary and the inept Raiders offense.
MY PICK: Broncos
New York Giants (9 – 1) v. Arizona Cardinals (7 – 3)
I’ve been saying it all year, the Giants are the best team in football. The Cardinals are not as good as their record indicates. This will prove it. The Giants should be able to control the ball and clock with their massive running game. Brandon Jacobs is questionable, but Ahmad Bradshaw and Derrick Ward are more than capable of running for 100 yards. Plaxico Burress is questionable, but Eli Manning has the ability to find Amani Toomer and the emerging Steve Smith. The Giant defense will stop Tim Higtower and Edgerrin James. They will also pressure Kurt Warner into some questionable throws. When Warner does not have time to throw the ball, he does not put up the MVP like numbers like he has been doing all season. Giants will win and cover the spread. Didn’t Eli win in this stadium last year?
MY PICK: Giants
Washington Redskins (6 – 4) v. Seattle Seahawks ( 2 – 8 )
Good thing the Redskins are playing the Seahawks because they haven’t looked good the last three weeks. the Redskins have an inability to put teams away while losing their last two games at home. The Seahawks are injury prone and they can’t seem to stop anybody. Expect Clinton Portis to have a big game and Jason Campbell should do an adequate job against the porous pass defense. The game will be close though.
MY PICK: Redskins
Indianapolis Colts (6 – 4) v. San Diego Chargers (4 – 6)
TRAP GAME!!!!! The Chagers are at home andon national television. They are 2 – 0 with huge wins in this situation but this is a bad time to get the Colts. The Colts are hot, winning three straight againstgood teams that traditionally give them trouble. Peyton Manning’s timing with the receivers, especially Marvin Harrison is getting much better. Joseph Addai is playing like the capable running back he is. The Chargers can’t do anything right. Lose to Pittsburgh without giving up a touchdown. Fail to move the ball, fail to stop teams you should beat. The Chargers are like a trophy wife. Looking good but unreliable and unfaithful. The Colts are poised to make a Super Bowl run.
MY PICK: Colts
Green Bay Packers (5 – 5) v. New Orleans Saints (5 – 5)
This is a tough game to pick. The Packers were very impressive in defeating the Bears. Ryan Grant looks like he’s a better late season running back. The Saints have a good passing game, but Brees isn’t getting the ball in the endzone due to a lack of first-class receivers. The running game is mediocre at best. While the Packer secondary is banged up andhave had trouble with passing teams. I think the Packer running game is going to help them get back on the right track and if the defense can keep Brees in check, meaning lots of yards but no touchdowns, the Packers could win.
MY PICK: Packers
There are my picks for this week. Let’s hear your disagreements.

It’s my daughter’s 3rd birthday today and I have to post this real quick. Thankfully, there isn’t much of a game to analyze. Of course I dno’t know if I’d trsut my pick since I haven’t gotten a Thursday night game right yet.
Cincinnati Bengals (1-8-1) v. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3)
Cincy is coming off the moral victory last week against the Eagles, but they weren’t the same Eagles that beat Pittsburgh earlier in the season. I expect the Steelers to cause a lot of turnovers and a lot of havoc for Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Bengal offense.
MY PICK: Steelers (although two ties would be cool)
MY DAUGHTER’S PICK: Bengals (she thinks Tigers are cute, she hasn’t seen Ocho Cinco)
A Letter From Jim Fassel to Al Davis November 16, 2008

Rumor has it that former Giants coach Jim Fassel sent a letter to Al Davis expressing his interest in coaching the Raiders. I bet the letter went something like this:
My name is Jim Fassel and I am very interested in being the next coach of the Oakland Raiders. The following are reason why I feel I would make a good coach for you.
First, I am a tool. I will have press conference in which I’ll put all my chips on the table and give the Oakland Raiders that soundbytes and attention they truly deserve. When you speak, not only will I listen. I will obey. I am so desperate to coach against, I’ll personally change your Depends and clean your bedpan whenever you want. That even includes halftime or during the 2-minute drill.
Second, I have playoff experience….sort of. I’ve been there, but I’ll never take your team there in consecutive years. This is good, because you’ll know when you can book your trips to Boca Raton, the Evel Knievel museum or get your custom made Hanes Sweatsuits refitted.
Third, I own a BeDazzeler. Imagine how sharp your trademark blacksweat suits would look with the Rhinestones. It would be Liberace meeting The Cryptkeeper. Classic. It would also take the focus off your liver sport.
Fourth, if you called my sideline and told me to go deep, I’d send Robert Gallery as well. It might be a 10 yard penalty, but it’ll throw the defense. We can call it Wild Al formation. If Joe Paterno can coach from the sidelines, so can we. Oops, I mean you.
Fifth, I consulted with Brian Billick last year. He’s just an offensive genius, you’re the total genius. No one knows football like you. You’ve always had an eye for talent, Shanahan, Gruden, Callahan, Kiffin. If they listened to you sir, they’d be successful.
Please sir, give this opportunity to be the next tool of the Oakland Raiders. I am desperate. I can’t pay the bills and need the money bad. Plus, I’m just mentally retarded enough to take this job and be your second fiddle.
Love, Jim Fassel

You know what is sad about this whole thing? Jim Fassel is a good guy and deserve a better coaching job than this.
